YOUR membership helps us stay true to our community values. It enables us to produce over 100 local shows each week, train and support new volunteers and broadcasters, and maintain our transmission technology. Do you have experience in fundraising and event coordination and a passion for community radio? We're looking for a person with at least 2 years experience in fundraising and event management. They will have experience in data management, marketing and communications, writing for online audiences and social media. They will be an excellent communicator, adept at managing multiple deadlines and tasks, whilst maintaining a focus on our strategic goals. Ideally, they will have existing knowledge of 3CR and demonstrable experience in fundraising for progressive community organisations. More details here. 

On Thursday 25 December from 10am-2pm,Tamil Voice and En Raasavin Manasile program teams will be taking to the 3CR airwaves to raise money for e-Kalvi. e-Kalvi charity fund focuses on providing a combination of effective and efficient education tools such as face-to-face and online learning as well as offline self-learning to the underprivileged children in Sri Lanka.

Long-time community activist and 3CR presenter Berhan Ismael Jaber was recognised last week at the Victorian Multicultural Awards for Excellence for his decades-long involvement in volunteering work within Australia and abroad. Congratulations to our three winners at the recent Community Broadcasting Association of Australia Awards! 3CR Breakfast Shows took away the ‘Best Program: News and Current Affairs’, Rachel Kirby was awarded ‘Outstanding Station Leadership’ and Tilde Joy won the inaugural ‘Jane Brownrigg Award - Outstanding Volunteer Contribution’. Fantastic! A special shout out to the other finalists including The Sporting Record, Nasser Mashni from Palestine Remembered and Vivien Langford from The Climate Action Show. A huge congratulations to all!

3CR’s Committee of Management has passed a declaration formalising our commitment to a Free Palestine. As an Apartheid Free Zone, we’re committed to boycotting Israel’s regime of oppression. We stand firmly against apartheid in Palestine and encourage other organisations to join us in this struggle.
