Wellways - Marching for pride at Midsumma

Today on Brainwaves, the team talks to Charlie & Arthur on Wellways Australia's work to improve the health and wellbeing of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex, queer (LGBTIQ+) and other sexuality and gender diverse people. 

Arthur has been part of Wellways Well Said community education program for 7 years where he shares his experiences of mental health issues and being a member of the LGBTIQ+ community.  He is also of a member of Wellways Well Proud network of LGBTIQ+ staff, consumers, carers, volunteer and allies and recently joined the Out Together project. Since 2010 Charlie has been a Wellways  participant, community educator, NDIS Support Worker, and Peer Worker and trainer in Tasmania. Charlie’s current role is LGBTIQ peer project manager, he is leading Wellways Out Together Project.
