We are joined this week by the co-founder of the permaculture movement David Holmgren to discuss his ideas behind retrofitting the suburbs as part of our transition to a low carbon society. Have the suburbs been given a bad press when in fact they can be a tremendous resource? Is increasing densities a bad thing and if so, how do we prevent our conurbations from continuing to sprawl outwards? Can we return to localised, sharing economies?
