He said Climate activists are portrayed as dangerous radicals but "the truly dangerous radicals are the countries that are increasing the production of fossil fuels"

Kurt Johnson - Writer and researcher, asks industry insiders how easy it is to find the specialised and general labour to drive the renewable energy transition.He finds they are struggling.

"With an estimated $66 billion to be invested in renewable energy over the next 10 to 15 years, and a further $27 billion in rooftop solar and battery storage, the money and the ambition for a revolution are there, yet the risk of being unable to find workers may threaten the entire venture’s viability."

Sharon Pursell  - Community campaigner for Protect our Water Alliance in Wollongong NSW

She tells us that in Germany  there are people employed to keep the water out of old mines. They call it a "perpetual" cost. So why are we paying public money to subsidise new coal and gas projects?

The four active coal mines that dig beneath the catchment cause irreversible damage to creeks, rivers, and endangered upland swamps. This not only reduces the quality and quantity of water we need to drink, but ruins critical ecosystems and cultural heritage sites. The coal adds to the rising global emissions whether we burn it or export it.

Fossil Fuel subsidies = $22,000 per minute according to The Australia Institute. Over $11 billion per year and rising since we have the gas led recovery. A small part of that is to rehabilitate old mines left behind by those who have made a profit.
