Between the Catholic, Independent and Public school systems, Australia has the 4th most INEQUITABLE education systems in the OECD. Catholic education and Ireland- children divided into Roman Catholic and State (Protestant), leading to sectarian troubles. The suggested divestment of religious patronage to schools will be slow going- Catholic education department fighting against diversification plans with campaigns of denial and misinformation. Sound familiar? Same thing happened here before Victorian election. Social segregation is just how we do schools in Australia.
