This week, Marisa extends last week's discussion with Ngarrindjerri woman Felicity Chafer-Smith, about The Torch arts program. Felicity was first introduced to The Torch during a term of imprisonment at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, and since her release has been working with the program as the Accounts and Operations Assistant. They also discuss her lived experience of prison, reconnecting with culture and country, and also how this all connects with her art style and artwork.

Next up on the program, Marisa speaks with Kieran Pender, Senior Lawyer at the Human Rights Law Centre, about an alarming anti-protest bill which has recently passed the Upper House in Tasmania. He describes how concerningly these and similar laws - recently passed in VIC and NSW - are targeted specifically towards climate and environmental protesters, and not necessarily other kinds, such as industrial relations. Kieran gives listeners a run-down on what these laws would entail, and the alarming dimensions of this bill that include a vague understanding of how they will be used in practice, highlighting problems associated with giving police sweeping powers that can be used at their discretion.
