Professor Mazin Qumsiyeh is a scientist, author, activist and academic at Bethlehem University and Director of the Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability. He's in Australia on a speaking tour on land rights and environmental justice in Palestine. Mazin tells us about the work of protecting biodiversity in the context of ongoing colonisation and conflict, the importance of hope in the midst of struggle and the devastating impact of Israel's attacks on Gaza over the past six months on the people and the  environment.
