We start playing a track Stand up for Kashmir by Steve BIK.
Kashmir Solidarity Day is on February 5, remembering those fighting for their freedom for more than 70 years.
We play some tracks remembering The Batepá massacre 3 February 1953 in São Tomé
hundreds of native creoles/ forros were massacred by the colonial administration and the Portuguese landowners.
This was in reaction to the idea that
the state intended to force work as contract laborers to creoles. The state said the unrest was due to communists, never proven and ordered the military to protect.
Twenty-eight people were suffocated in a cell by the local police, Twenty people were burned to death and other prisoners to torture.
