Kris Schroeder is a member of the 3 piece band The Basics with bandmates Wally De Backer and Tim Heath. Quiet achievers who’ve released 5 studio albums and played over 2 1/2 thousand gigs that include tours to Japan, Norway and the UK. Back in Australia The Basics have embarked on multiple tours that specifically targeted culturally underprivileged groups of people in rural areas, regional schoolchildren and indigenous communities. Percussionist Wally De Backer  also known as Gotye  had enormous success with several albums and a song called Somebody I used To Know in 2011. Kris who plays Bass in the Basics has dubbed himself Jackmann and earlier this year released an EP “whatever doesn’t kill you, just makes you bored". And now a new 9 track album recorded at London’s famous Abbey Road studio.
