Bevis Frond are a psychedelic rock band originally from Walthamstow, London in the UK and  formed in 1986 by Nick Saloman. The band have released over 30 albums, many on Nic’s label Woronzow and the last 3 albums came out on Fire records who released early albums by artists such as Spacemen 3, Built To Spill and Pulp.

Nick Saloman has said that his desire was to record music that he’’d like to listen to.. and that he wanted a Hendrix/Wipers/Byrds sound but with a distinctly British feel.  Dr Gonzo was also pleased to hear about Nic’s love for the music of the band Patto and on some of the new recordings I hear a mixture of the psych sounds of Pink Floyd and the power-pop of Teenage Fanclub.

The new album Focus On Nature is a fantastic collection of 19 songs, Uncut magazine described the album thus: Self-reflection is twinned with a rueful survey of the current state of the nation.
