Steve grew up with an alcoholic mum and an older brother who drank. Both found recovery Alcoholics Anonymous early in his life and were instrumental in helping him to feel comfortable in eventually seeking help in AA. Steve started drinking around 12 year old then continued getting into trouble through drugs and alcohol in his teens. His drinking exacerbated his fear of mental health problems and he only realized that his drinking was a problem when he was in AA. Steve has been in AA for over 28 years now, has made some great friends there and feels that it really saved his life.
If you think that alcohol may be a problem then Alcoholics Anonymous could help you. Give them a call on 1300 222 222 or see their website aa.org.au.
