In this epsidode Ann chats with long-time permaculture practitioners, Mal Boyd and John Mckenzie. Mal and John live South-east of Melbourne, John in Seaford and Mal further east in Garfield. Both Mal and John have been active in the leadership of Permaculture Victoria, which is an umbrella group of people and local organisations all working towards sustainable development within a permaculture framework. This is the first part of a two-part interview.
