Tune in throughout NAIDOC week to 3CR to hear Beyond the Bars - Australia's only live prison broadcast. The broadcast involves over 100 Indigenous men, women and young people from the inside, sharing stories, songs, opinions and poems from within the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, Barwon Prison, Fulham Correctional Centre, Marngoneet Correctional Centre, Loddon Prison and Port Phillip Prison.

3CR is now seeking applications for the Girls Radio Club project. Girls Radio Club is an exciting 10 week radio project for 12 young women from Indigenous, refugee, asylum seeker and migrant backgrounds aged 15 to 20. It’s free, and participants will learn about radio broadcasting, producing, podcasting, editing and mixing skills. The project will run on Thursdays after school throughout Term 3. Applications close 12 June 5pm so get in quick!
Celebrate May Day 2013 with 3CR Wednesday 1 May. Tune in from 7am to hear all about the history of May Day, worker controlled projects, Palestinian workers rights, anti-boss Songs, disclosure in the workplace, campaign updates and much much more. Each year on 1 May communities from around the world join in celebrating the achievements of the labour movement and show solidarity with the continued struggle for labour rights everywhere.
