3CR's Jazz on a Saturday show is celebrating 35 years on air. Tune in during October and celebrate the program’s history and jazz in Melbourne, including a live broadcast from the Wangaratta Festival of Jazz on 29 October. Jazz on a Saturday first went to air on the 2 October 1976. Today the show is still doing what it started out to do - broadcasting great jazz and news about the jazz scene. Tune in each Saturday from 4 - 5.30pm.

Springvale Monash Legal Service in conjunction with 3CR invite you to the Visioning Justice Project Launch. There'll be performances, snacks and the opportunity to hear radio documentaries produced by young people from diverse backgrounds exploring the justice system.

3CR's own Greg Segal received a Lifetime Technical Contribution to Community Broadcasting Award 2011. The award was presented at the 3rd Annual Technorama Conference on the 10 September in Canberra and recognises a significant contribution made to community broadcasting.

Greg has worked as a technician for 3CR since 1978 and one of his proudest achievements is the setting up of 3CR's own AM transmitter at Werribee. Congratulations Greg! (pictured)

Come along to the 3CR spring gardening sale and buy some great products to get your garden ready for summer. The sale will include compost, plant shop vouchers, seeds, fertilizers and a wide range of gardening books, all items will be discounted.

Chin Radio presents community news, news from Chinland, community activities, interviews, Chin music and culture, and is the first Chin community radio show in Australia.

3CR's Beyond the Bars prison broadcasts received a Commended in the Queensland University's Communication and Social Change Award 2011. The award recognises the use of communication to transform and empower marginalised communities.

Beyond the Bar's Fulham radio program will be broadcast from Federation Square this Thursday evening as part of NAIDOC Week 2011 celebrations.
From 6.30 - 8.30pm on Thursday 7 July the stories, raps, shout-outs and perspectives of the Indigenous men at Fulham Correctional Centre in Gippsland will be shared with passers-by and visitors to Federation Square.
