MAYSAR Gym Outside Broadcast

Tune in on Wednesday 25 August from 11 - 2pm as we broadcast live from the Melbourne Aboriginal Youth, Sport and Recreation (MAYSAR) Gym on Gertrude Street Fitzroy - MAYSAR Manager Glenda Thorpe pictured. Broadcasters Robbie Thorpe, Clare Land, Gilla McGuinness, Josie Atkinson and Joe Geia will host the program which will include roving microphone stories.

Community History Awards

Disability Day Radio

In celebration of International Day of People with a Disability on 3 December 2010 3CR will again dedicate a day of broadcasting to content created by, for and about people with disabilities.

Accent of Women Snapshots

Over the coming months 3CR will be recording the voices of 20 women who have recently come to Australia as part of our Accent of Women Snapshots project. The project will give voice to the experience of refugee, asylum seeker and migrant women arriving in Australia and is supported by the Scanlon Foundation.

Gusset Rustlers 3CR Benefit Gig

The girls have got the band back together! Join the Gusset Rustlers on Sunday 1 August for a 3CR Benefit Gig. Starting at 5pm there'll be raffles, auctions, prizes, great music and more.

Come celebrate the Horse's Birthday - Sunday 1 August 2010 from 5pm at the Lomond Hotel, 225 Nicholson Street East Brunswick. Entry by donation. All proceeds go to Lazy Wednesday Afternoon's Radiothon target.

CARLTON LIVE! Voices From the Flats: CD Launch with Lunch

CARLTON LIVE! is a collection of voices and songs from the Carlton Housing Estate. Each voice has a story to tell about living in Carlton or coming to Australia or just about what is going on inside the mind of the songwriter. Many of the songs were recorded as part of the Carlton Musicians Course, staged in 2009 by 3CR Community Radio in partnership with the City of Melbourne’s Carlton Flats Arts Project.

Burning Vinyl Gig

3CR's rockin' Friday afternoon music show, Burning Vinyl, will host a gig on Saturday 24 July at the Old Bar, 74-76 Johnston Street Fitzroy.

Come along and see the Toot Toot Toots, Matt Sonica and the High Times, Howl at the Moon, Lamefoot and more - the night starts at 8pm and entry is $10. Burning Vinyl - local rock, unsigned artists and gig guide every Friday afternoon from 2 - 4pm.

The Runaways Film Fundraiser

Come along to a 3CR Film Fundraiser. No, its not our usual hard edged political doco - The Runaways is a biopic about the mid 70s hard-rock girlband of the same name. The band featured Cherie Currie, Joan Jett and more shag mullets than you can chuck a platform shoe at.
