Aboriginal advocate for incarcerated women, former prisoner and pioneer Vickie Roach speaks of her experiences with the prison system and how institutionalisation is imposed on Aboriginal women at a young age. 

We also hear from Emma Russell from Flat Out. Emma explains how the process of strip searching women in prison is seen as counter-productive and triggering for many incarcerated women with history of sexual violence. We also look at what prison abolition would look like in an Australian context.
