Sisters Day Out

Monday, 12 October 2015 - 8:30am to 9:00am

Sisters Day Out is a full day workshop hosted by the Aboriginal Family Violence Prevention and Legal Service Victoria aimed at breaking down the barriers to reporting family violence and building trust to empower Aboriginal women to access legal assistance services and other supports.

The program has not been able to get the funding it needs and the future of Sisters Day Out is now at risk.

On October 6 Women on the Line went to Sisters Day Out in Deer Park and spoke to staff, attendees, service providers and community sector workers about the importance of the event.
