Molly was a daily drinker at 15 years old and was also suffering from PTSD and Anorexia. She knew drinking was a problem as some of her friends we killing themselves. A blackout drinker from the start the dual problems of alcoholism and anorexia made things a lot worse as she only weighed around 30kg.
Molly was hospitalized then in a shelter and finally homeless, she kept drinking but stayed off the drugs. She had no close relationships as they just got in the way of her drinking but came into Alcoholics Anonymous at 17. AA was a bit of a shock initially but she quickly lost the desire to drink, regained her health and weight as a result. Molly was even able to take up ballet during recovery and found many people couldn’t recognise the new healthy person she had become.
