The New Normal International Film Festival NNIFF an initiative of media students from 'The Festival Experience' studio led by Cerise Howard, based at RMIT is running online June 4-6th through a live stream of short and selected feaure films and engagement with filmmakers focusing on the themes of social distancing, personal growth, isolation from loved ones, or the relationship with environment. They are still open for entries with the deadline a slim one day to go May 22 submissions via FilmFreeway page on The New Normal International Film Festival site. Sunday May 24th the Mojo Film Festival will be held as usual to celebrate World Schizophrenia day On Schitzy Inc's Youtube channel. The 15 finalist films are all made by filmakers with lived experience of major mental illnesses and Schizy In is an arts organisation led by and for a global community of people who believe that healinf from the post traumatic stress of these mental health experiences comes from being creative, curious and courageous.
