Today’s show features interviews with two organisers for peace, Annette Brownlie of the Independent and Peaceful Australia Network (IPAN), and Margie Beavis from the Medical Association for the Prevention of War (MAPW). Annette speaks about RIMPAC 2020, which is the Rim of the Pacific military exercises, currently being held in Hawaiian waters. She also introduces us to the IPAN inquiry. Margie critiques Australia’s increased defence spending, exploring why it remains unchallenged.
