Newsreports

Moreland council campaigns update from Moreland councillor Sue Bolton.

Campaign to save Fawkner outdoor pool from closure, with the closure being spun by council bureaucrats as 'repurposing'

Campaign to get Moreland council to commit to phasing out gas use for pool heating. 89% of Moreland council's gas use is for heating its pools and simply by switching from gas to heat pumps for its pools Moreland council could cut its emissions by 27%

Home to Bilo campaign pushes on. A partial victory has been won with the Murugappan family brought to Perth to be with young Tharunicaa, who is being treated for sepsis. However rallies across Australia will push for the family to be granted permanent protection visas and allowed to return to their community of Biloela in Queensland.

Israel unleashes another massive wave of airstrikes on Gaza after Palestinians launched 'fire balloons' into Israel in response to provocative marches by ultra nationalist Israelis in occupied East Jerusalem, which sneeringly celebrated the ongoing violent conquest of Palestine. The Israeli marches are akin to those that would be held by the orangemen in Ireland, waving the ongoing occupation in the faces of the occupied.
