Being A Change-Maker: IWD with Jo Stanley & host, Flic Manning

Wednesday, 8 March 2023 - 6:00pm to 6:30pm
Jo Stanley is a caucasian woman with short blonde pixie hair wearing a red and whiten polka dotted singlet smiling at the camera, Jo has blue eyes. Underneath is the Brainwaves show logo in blue and purple.

“My career has done a lot to exacerbate my natural inclination towards anxiety! But I also see it as a privilege to be able to be a voice for those who aren't heard very often in mainstream media,” says celebrity radio and tv presenter, comedian and columnist Jo Stanley.

“For me that specifically means diverse women, and I’m passionate about women’s and girl’s health, gender equality, social justice and mindfulness.”

Jo describes herself as an introvert who was a standup comedian, a night owl who was a breakfast radio host, and someone who is innately risk averse who is now a startup founder.

Jo is today’s guest on our radio show Brainwaves, and will talk about mental health, gender equality and founding Broad Radio — radio by women for women.
