The 35th consecutive weekly rally against the genocide in Gaza began with an announcement from Renegade Solidarity Audioforce's sound truck to inform rally attendees that VicPol attempted to remove it from the site at the State Library Victoria "because it is illegally parked". After the march, police deployment of OC spray affected dozens of peaceful protesters, including elderly attendees, a pregnant woman, and children, one as young as 8 years old.

Just one of the Stop the Ports Rallies held across the country by Unionists for Palestine to highlight the need for Australia to cease aiding and abetting the war on Palestine. In so-called Port Melbourne, thousands covered first at Station Pier then marching to Sandridge Beach in a community gathering emphasising that Unions are not just institutions but made up of the sum total of the individuals that are members. Nakba Day Rally | Naarm-Melbourne, Wed 15 May 2024
On Wednesday 15th May 2024, people gathered outside the Parliament Steps to commemorate the 76th Anniversary of Nakba Day, and to watch the debate with Victoria's Labor Government on their partnership with Elbit Systems of Australia after the success of the community petition which collected over 2000 signatures. While there were speakers from the Liberal Party, the Greens, the Animal Justice Party and Legalise Cannabis Victoria, the Labor Party did not put up any speakers in the debate and voted with the Liberals to vote down the tabling of the petition to get Elbit Systems out of Victoria.
