Matt Malone is a passionate music enthusiast who delves deep into the lyrics of songs, seeking to understand their true meaning. This profound appreciation for music shines through in his radio program "Hell Or High Water," which he hosts on Ballarat's community station Voice-FM.
Malone's musical insight has culminated in the release of his new EP, "Made In The Image Vol. 1," recorded with his band, Matt Malone and The Holy Spirits. The EP features Malone's interpretations of five of his favorite songs, showcasing his ability to reimagine classic tracks.
The EP includes covers of PJ Harvey's "The Dancer," "I'm Bad Like Jesse James" by John Lee Hooker, Bob Dylan's gospel classic "Gotta Serve Somebody," and a bold rendition of The Velvet Underground's "Heroin."
