Ladies and gentlemen, we are shining the spotlight on two living legends who've shaped the face of punk, rock, and satire Down Under.
First up, the one and only Frederick John Negro - better known as Fred Negro! This St. Kilda icon is a jack of all trades and a master of mayhem. From pounding the drums with 'The Editions' back in '79 to fronting outrageous acts like 'I Spit on Your Gravy' and 'The Fuck Fucks’, surrealist Fred's been the beating heart of St Kilda punk scene for decades. But that's not all, This madman's also left his mark as a razor-sharp satirist, a boundary-pushing artist and cartoonist, and Gong Show chicken lovin’ star.
But wait, there's more! Enter Rob Wellington, the six-string slinger who cut his teeth with 'Fiction' before co-founding 'International Exiles' in '79. This punk pioneer later rocked stages with 'Wild Dog Rodeo' before conquering the world of rock video production including The Models' 'Big on Love’ video.
Now, in a collision of creative chaos, Fred and Rob have joined forces to birth Fred Negro's 3182 ECT - a band of musical misfits bringing Fred's surreal lyrical visions to life. These two legends are also the brains behind the unmissable St. Kilda Music Walking Tour, guiding music lovers through the streets that shaped their sound.
Hold onto your headphones, because Fred Negro's 3182 ECT have just dropped their debut album, a sonic rollercoaster with lyrics straight from the wonderfully warped mind of Fred Negro himself. Don't miss your chance to experience this piece of Australian music history!
