Bits Of Kids ( BOK )

A Sydney based four-piece post punk rock band, formed in 1986 with Don Green on vocals & guitar, Jed Highton on lead guitar, Paul Field on bass and Charles Sammut on drums. They released a 7" single in 1987 and a 6 track 12" mini album in 1989 before disbanding early in 1990. Embracing a 'Do It Yourself' punk ethos, the band organized their own gigs, printed posters, filmed videos, self-managed and built up a strong fan following, In July of 1987 the band recorded a 7" single Sorry Son / They Say on Revolution Records which debuted at #9 on the Sydney alternative music charts and received video coverage on Rage, Video Hits and SBS ‘The Noise”. Rumour has it they are making a come back!

Mandeera

An avant-garde musician born in Sri Lanka and classically trained in Eastern music, later moved to Dubai where she expanded her musical repertoire, experimenting with genres like rock, jazz, RnB, pop, country and many more. Her background in dramatic performance and theater adds theatrical intensity to her work. Since March 2021, she has composed over 120 songs, and is known for an innovative approach to her work, incorporating unique elements like sampling the sound of her own heartbeat in her debut single “THAT’S WHEN YOU’LL START” which we’ll be playing very soon. She is currently working on a genre-defying album, and you will soon hear how Mandeera’s artistry is a blend of global influences.

Andy Fillmore

A Melbourne based singer / songwriter. Since the 2022 release of his debut album "Under a blood moon" recorded at home during lockdown. Andy, with band featuring Simon Hanna on Drums and Gordon Gunn on bass has been captivating audiences across venues in and around Melbourne. A successful single launch for "Passing notes" was held at Mamma Chen's last Thurslay event, the next single to drop will be the rocker "Beggin on my knees" followed by "Ice cold in here".

And just announcing! Andy will be holding a special Halloween themed EP launch at the Old Bar, Thursday the 31st of October with special guests Fennec and Sara Jane. It's going to be huge! With live music, prizes for best dressed and drink specials!
