The Treaty of Waitangi:Speaking to a Treaty worker in Aotearoa

Saturday, 3 August 2019 - 10:00am to 10:30am

In the show we share with you an interview with Katherine Peet, a Pākehā resident of Ōtautahi (Christchurch) and organiser with Network Waitangi Ōtautahi. Our discussion is based around the significance of the Treaty of Waitangi, its promise of more just relationships between Māori and settlers, and the failure of successive Colonial governments to honour the Treaty. Katherine has hopes for a future in Aotearoa framed by the Treaty of Waitangi.
