Today we hear from Lee Tan, who is working with Aid/Watch to stop the radioactive activities of  Australian company Lynas Rare Earths in both Western Australia and Malaysia. Lynas seem to be getting special treatment in both Malaysia and Australia for geopolitical reasons, yet the potential impacts on human and environmental health are enormous. While rare earths are important for many renewable energy technologies, we cant let the transition to renewables replicate the negative impacts of extractive industries.
