Kabir lived 600 years ago in Varanasi, India. His poetry speaks of an inner truth, the breath inside the breath, the ocean inside the drop inside the ocean. He was revered by Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs and his work is still memorised and recited all over India today. Dr Peter Friedlander of the ANU in Canberra has created a new translation of the poetry of Kabir and presents some of the poems and some of his insights into translating this unique poet mystic saint.
