Angelina Stanton and ReVerse Butcher

Thursday, 8 November 2018 - 9:00am to 9:30am

On this week's show, we chat with street poet, Angelina Stanton, a very familiar face on the streets of Melbourne's CBD, stationed with her trusty typewriter and tapping out poetry "while you wait". Angelina shares some of her own work, reflects on her unique job, and why the typewriter is "an honest machine".

Also in the program, multi-disciplinary artist, ReVerse Butcher, talks about her new work, "On The Rod", four years in the making, blending poetry and visual art in a limited edition altered book. The work satirizes, critiques, and obliterates a past work by Jack Kerouac that bears a similar name. The book will be launched on 18 November at Hares Hyenas.
