The first time an Australian cricket team toured India was in 1935 but the record books don't mention it bcause it was an 'unofficial' tour - a rebel tour if you like. Very reminiscent of the Packer Supertests, this series went ahead despite opposition from the 'Establishment'. Megan Posford stumbled across a box of memorabilia from one of the players which opened up an extraordinary research journey culminating in two books on the subject. In the 30 minutes we had available Megan summarised the tour for us and explained how political barriers and racial stereotypes were smashed, all in the name of sport.
