Peter Farnon is a founding member songwriter and guitarist for the Australian band Boom Crash Opera and post punk outfit Serious Young Insects. He also worked as a composer, sound designer and musical director with theatre companies such as Malthouse and MTC.Peter also has a Masters in Sound Design by research from Melbourne University and teaches songwriting and sound design at Melbourne Uni, Box Hill Institute and Collarts.

His most recent project, Pesky Bones, features songs that he wrote, performed and produced with lead vocals from the likes of Paul Kelly, Ali Barter, Tim Rogers and Rebecca Barnard. Pesky Bones Volume one was recorded at Busy Bee and Ginger studios utilising 16 acclaimed Australian guest singersThey provide a range of styles, points of view and perspectives to the age-old conundrum: can I keep it together as mortality encroaches and galaxies collide?
