His journey began in high school, where he devoted three years to studying drums under the tutelage of one of Perth's esteemed drum tutors. These formative years instilled in him a solid foundation in technique and musical literacy, encompassing genres ranging from rock to jazz. Yet, Ashley's true passion lay in the realm of live performance, record production, and the creation of music.

For nearly four decades, Ashley Davies has pursued his dream with unwavering dedication. As a full-time drummer, he boasts an impressive resume, having contributed to over 70 albums and lent his talent to numerous film and television soundtracks. His musical prowess has taken him across Australia and beyond, collaborating and touring with esteemed artists such as The Models, Chris Wilson's Crown Of Thorns, Chris Whitley, and Jeff Lang, among many others.

Notably, Ashley Davies has carved his niche as a solo artist, releasing six albums predominantly comprised of instrumental compositions. His latest endeavor, "Gold," serves as a captivating soundtrack inspired by the paintings of his beloved uncle, Len Davies, which draw from the enigmatic tale of Lewis Harold Bell Lasseter's quest for the elusive reef of gold.
