3CR has a position vacant for an IT worker to manage and develop the hardware and software systems that are onsite at our studios at 21 Smith Street Fitzroy. This fixed term position (12 month contract) is for 7.5 hours per week at $36.40 per hour. We need someone who can maintain and develop IT and network systems, servers and back up systems. The successful applicant will have experience in working with a diverse range of people and will be a hands on problem solver who can support our broadcasting.

3CR will celebrate May Day 2011 with a special broadcast on Sunday 1 May. Each year on 1 May people from around the world join in celebrations to mark the achievements of workers while recognising the fight for equity in the workplace is far from over.

3CR, along with eight other Melbourne community radio stations, will officially "go digital" on Thursday 14 April with a live broadcast from Federation Square. All nine stations will broadcast side-by-side from the event to mark this significant occasion. Read more.

Dan Sultan, multi award winning singer/songwriter, recently joined the Dgym Time - Thursday 2 - 3pm. On the show Dan speaks about music, politics and growing up in Fitzroy with Dgym Time hosts Jody, Robbie and Josie.

3CR runs an annual Radiothon fundraising appeal to support the financial costs of running the station. Each year we employ a Radiothon worker to support staff and programmers with our fundraising efforts. This year's Radiothon runs from 6 – 19 June 2011.

The Radiothon worker is employed for a fixed-term. The successful candidate will be available to work from Monday 11 April to Friday 10 June 2011. The first weeks will be worked at shorter hours with the time being made up closer to Radiothon week.

3CR's Shiftegan program (Iranian/Persian) is proud to present a very special two hour broadcast celebrating Norooz, the Persian New Year, on Sunday 20 March from 1.00 - 3.00pm. Norooz marks the begining of the spring in the northern hemisphere.
