Survival Day 2013 On Air

Join us this Saturday 26 January for a Survival Day special broadcast. Crossing live  to the Gertrude Street Rally 3CR's Indigenous programmers will present an outside broadcast from the Belgrave Survival Day celebrations. Programming kick off at 12 noon Normal 0 and goes through til 4pm.

Freedom Fighters Commemoration

3rd January 2013
On Sunday 20 January 1842 two Indigenous freedom fighters became the first people executed in Victoria. Tunnerminnerwait and Maulboyheenner were hanged on the corner of Swanston and LaTrobe Streets. Since 2008, the Tunnerminnerwait and Maulboyheener Commemoration Committee has organised a commemoration and broadcast to remember the execution and to highlight the unfinished business that still exists between indigenous and non indigenous Australians.

R&B and Blues Music Fundraiser

Come along and support two of 3CR's great long-time music shows Hot Damn Tamale and Night Owls on Rhythm with an afternoon of Hot Swinging R&B and Blues featuring the amazing Kerry Simpson (pictured) and the Prodigal Sons, Rod Paine and the Fulltime Lovers, Benny Peters and special guests. Sunday 13 January 2pm - 6pm at the Way Out West Roots Music Club at the Williamstown RSL, corner Melbourne Road and Ferguson Street.
