On 20 January 1842 Tunnerminnerwait and Maulboyheenner - two Indigenous freedom fighters - were executed on the corner of Bowen and Franklin Streets in Melbourne.

This week 3CR welcomes its new Station Manager, Loretta O'Brien. Loretta has worked at the station for 6 years in administration and finances and brings not only a wealth of knowledge about the station and the sector but also a strong academic understanding of running not for profits having completed a Master in Public Advocacy and Action specialising in management of NGOs.

On Human Rights Day tune in to remarkable stories from members of Melbourne’s refugee and asylum seeker community. Start the day with Friday Breakfast 7am- 8.30 Program includes info and updates of HRD events and actions. Refugee Radio 9 – 10am features ten refugees and asylum seekers on their journey to a new land.

On Friday 3 December eight young women with disability will take to the airwaves to explore everything from self advocacy, fashion and parliamentary representation to dating, technology and queer rights. “I’m so excited … and I just can’t hide it”.

Come to the launch of 3CR's Beyond the Bars 7 CD featuring over one hundred Indigenous men and women in five Victorian prisons. The CD features highlights from the stories, interviews, poems and songs of our live prison shows during NAIDOC Week in July 2010.
