On this episode of Queering the Air 3CR, our co-host, Sasja Sÿdek conducted an interview with the founders of GenderQuest, Violet Minehan and Lilith Plummer.
A mentoring program for individuals who identify as transgender, gender-diverse, or are questioning their gender identity has been launched by RMIT students. Known as GenderQuest, this program offers an online platform where people can connect with mentors, engage in group gaming sessions, socialize with like-minded peers, and access a wide array of resources and trans-inclusive external services. The founders, Violet Minehan and Lilith Plummer, recognized the difficulties that come with navigating gender identity and aimed to establish a program that not only offers support and resources but also creates a supportive community for individuals facing similar challenges. The team is currently focused on expanding GenderQuest to accommodate a vibrant community of thousands of transgender and gender-diverse individuals throughout Australia.
