A Tribute to Holly Hutchinson

In late 2013 we lost a much loved member of 3CR’s community, Holly Hutchinson. Arriving at 3CR in July 2010, Holly got involved in so many ways around the station, as volunteer receptionist, Friday Breakfaster, Earth Matters presenter, CRAM contributer, Awards Night organising committee member and as general volunteer. We honour the wonderful woman we got to know during her 3 years at the station, and remember the incredible energy and enthusiasm she had for 3CR.

3CR is serving up a juicy menue of listening delights for you this Summer.

Nelson Mandela
We present a very special breakfast on the 25th December as we dig into the archives to bring you a unique address by Nelson Mandela to the Victorian trade union movement in 1990 at Melbourne Town Hall. Mandela had come to thank them for their solidarity work and for their support in bringing down the apartheid system in South Africa, and 3CR was there broadcasting live. Listen in Wednesday 25 December from 7am.

3CR Fundraiser - Pussy Riot

Join 3CR for an evening of punk and protest on the big screen with Pussy Riot: A Punk Prayer. Five women wearing brightly coloured balaclavas rushed the altar of a Moscow Russian Orthodox Cathedral with microphones, speakers and a guitar and launched into a "punk prayer" in protest against Vladimir Putin's "excessive nationalism". Come to the 3CR film fundraiser and get the real story of what happened next.
